UM Detroit Center co-sponsors stage for Concert of Colors

The Concert of Colors is metro Detroit’s free annual diversity music festival. Its goal is to bring together metro Detroit’s diverse communities and ethnic groups by presenting musical acts from around the world. Over its 19-year history, the festival has become a beloved highlight of metro Detroit’s summer festival season, and one of the few free-admission music festivals remaining locally.

This year’s Concert of Colors takes place Friday, July 14 through Sunday, July 17, 2011, at four venues in Midtown Detroit: the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and the Scarab Club on Thursday, July 14, the Detroit Institute of Arts on Friday, July 15, and the Max M. Fisher Music Center on Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17.

More information about the festival including stage schedules and a full artist list can be found at the Concert of Colors website.
