Mike Morland
Mike oversee’s all Communication and Marketing activity for the U-M Detroit Center. Mike also manages audio/video, photography and web content for the Detroit Center.
Mike Morland brings more than 10 years of experience from the non-profit, academic and public sectors to his current position. A University of Michigan alumnus, Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Electronic Media.
His background and experience includes marketing/sales, journalism, broadcasting, and web design/content management from some of the nation’s most recognized businesses and institutions (The Henry Ford, University of Michigan, Best Buy and CBS Radio).
Mike is an avid supporter of the arts, which he attributes to his time as a student at Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn, Michigan. At the time of graduation, it was one of only a handful of high schools in America to require humanities courses for graduation.
Outside of work, Mike has contributed to the GrandKids Foundation, Toys for Tots and St.Jude Children's Research Hospital. He is also a passionate musician, DJ and die-hard Detroit sports fan.
