Feodies Shipp III is the Acting Director of the University of Michigan Detroit Center. He started his career in Higher Education with the U-M Career Center in 1995. From 1996 to 2010, he worked his way up the ranks in the University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions – from Admissions Counselor to Assistant Director. In 2010, Feodies accepted the position of Associate Director of the Detroit Center. Through this position, he was able to combine two of his greatest passions, the University of Michigan and the city of Detroit.
Alexis oversees the day-to-day operations of the front desk at the Detroit Center. As the front line of the Detroit Center, Alexis is responsible for event, program and project management, logistics, room scheduling, customer relations, reception and guest services.
Gerrard Rayford is primarily responsible for the management, coordination and maintenance of the Detroit Center's spaces and equipment. He is also responsible for the development, coordination, and installation of exhibits for the Monts Hall Gallery.
