Beginning Friday, October 9, the University of Michigan Detroit Center kicks off its inaugural Friday Fall Film Series (F3S) with this year’s theme, “My Detroit.” The focus for the 2015 series is to examine, explore and challenge what Detroit means to people as individuals and as part of a larger community.

The University of Michigan Detroit Center, in partnership with Focus: HOPE is proud to present the “2015 Focus on the Mission Teen Photo Exhibition.” The exhibition begins Wednesday, August 26 with an opening reception and program on Friday, September 25 from 6-8 p.m. The reception/program is open to the general public and includes complimentary admission, parking and light refreshments.

In this episode of Detroit Discussions, Mike Morland sits down with Nik from the band, Screw, to discuss their upcoming Concert of Colors performance on the Wolverine Outdoor Stage. Coming together in 2013, Screw consists of Tommy T, HotRod Tusek, Elrod Adams and Nik Savage. Influenced by the classic rock sound of the 1970s and 1980s, Screw makes Rock music fun and exciting once again by returning to the genre’s old school roots.
