Fourth Annual Opening Day Open House at the U-M Detroit Center
The U-M Detroit Center will host its fourth annual Opening Day Open House on Monday, March 31 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. This annual celebration is an opportunity for the University of Michigan and Detroit communities to connect on this unofficial holiday, Opening Day of the Detroit Tigers.
Guests are encouraged to tour the facility and learn about the outreach activities and cultural events occurring at the Detroit Center. Causal and die-hard baseball fans are invited to stay the afternoon and watch the Detroit Tigers take on the Kansas City Royals on two high-definition video projection monitors in the Ann Arbor Room of our facility. We welcome University students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as, the general public.
From noon – 1 PM, ballpark -style food and beverages will be served. Fun door prizes will also be available for a few lucky visitors.
In addition to a day of festive activities, the MDetroit Center Connector (MDCC) bus service will provide University of Michigan students, facility, staff and their guests’ transportation between Ann Arbor and Detroit.
