Minority Males for Higher Education

Minority Males for Higher Education (MMFHE) is seeking mentors to participate in a program that provides college exposure, etiquette training, tutoring, and college readiness support.

President Barack Obama

In conjunction with the University of Michigan’s Ann Arbor campus, the U-M Detroit Center will host a simulcast of President Barack Obama’s speech on Friday, January 27.

President Obama is scheduled to address more than 3,000 people at the Al Glick Field house on the campus of U-M in Ann Arbor beginning at 9:30am.

The Detroit Center simulcast will take place in the Ann Arbor Room and includes free admission and validated parking to all attendees.

Sankofa Film Series Continues with Musica Cubana

The Detroit Center continues its Sankofa film series with the docudrama, Musica Cubana. The event is open to the general public and takes place from 6pm – 8pm, Friday, February 17 at the Detroit Center. Admission and parking are free of charge. Light refreshments will be available.
