Detroit Center
The University of Michigan has established the 10,500 square-foot UM Detroit Center on the ground floor of Orchestra Place. The facility provides a home for dozens of long-standing programs while opening the door to increased UM involvement with the community. Eighteen UM units are currently participating in the center. The facility provides offices and space for classes, meetings, exhibitions, lectures, and collaborative work while serving as a home base for students and faculty working on projects in Detroit.
FREE VISITOR PARKING at Detroit Center from March 31, 2008
The Detroit Center is offering free parking to its guests who park at
the Orchestra Place parking structure. This offer is valid from March 31, 2008
(Monday), except when there is an event at the Orchestra Place. Detroit Center
staff should cross-check the events at the Orchestra Place. Please validate your
ticket stub at the front desk before you use it at the exit barrier.
Family Math & Science Leadership Workshop
The University of Michigan School of Education will host the Family Math & Science Leadership Workshop at the Detroit Center. The program combines the best in hands-on understanding of math and science education, equity, and parent involvement to build collaboration, confidence and cultural inclusion for increased student achievement. The event is by invitation only.
The Detroit Center hosting PCAT Examination
The Detroit Center will become a test center on June 21, 2008 for the Pharmacy College Aptitude Test (PCAT).
